About Us
Our Background
- Holy Cross Anglican Church is a parish in the Anglican-Catholic heritage serving the Greenville and Winterville communities of North Carolina. We worship in the classic Anglican tradition, rooted in the Holy Scriptures, the ancient Creeds, and the seven Sacraments of the Church. Our life together centers on Word and Sacrament, prayer, and service to others in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Founded as a chaplaincy congregation in the Anglican tradition, Holy Cross continues to uphold the faith and order of the undivided Church while working closely with other orthodox Anglican and Catholic communities.
What We Stand For
- At Holy Cross Anglican Church, we stand in the great stream of the Anglican-Catholic tradition, centered on the Holy Scriptures, the Creeds, and the historic formularies of the Church — the Book of Common Prayer, the Ordinal, and the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion.
- These time-honored texts express the faith once delivered to the saints and point us back to the authority of the Holy Bible as the rule and measure of all doctrine.
- Our faith is both ancient and alive — rooted in apostolic teaching and expressed through reverent worship, the seven sacraments, and a life of service and holiness. We gladly share in fellowship with other orthodox Anglican and Catholic communities who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and uphold the historic faith of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
